Car Shipment

My first problem was when the rate of the shipment was increased without any notice. I know that they get bids from companies to pick up the car and that it can change, but it would have been nice if somebody called me to let me know that was the case. Also, the driver refused a money order (even though the website says this is a viable source of payment) so I had to scramble last minute to find $650 in cash because the banks were closed at the time the driver said he was going to be there for pick-up. After all that scrambling... the driver didn't show up, which was frustrating. There were several instances where we could not get a hold of the driver- both when he was VERY late to pick up and drop off the car. Called customer service, and they just told us to try calling the driver again later. I know that if no one can get a hold of the driver there isn't much that can be done, but they did not seem sympathetic or caring at all.I don't think it is that much of a stretch to say that most people would be concerned when someone who has their car missed the drop-off time and is not answering the phone for hours on end. The car was a bit dirty when received (which is understandable as it was on an open carrier), but other than than was in the same shape as when it was picked up. Overall, the whole situation was very stressful, and I am glad it is over now.
