Great Service - Would Use Again

When I started the process of securing a car transport for my two vehicles, I came across numerous horror stories detailing the horrible experiences people have had. Even when researching the "top" companies which mostly had decent ratings, some of the reviews were so bad, I decided to search elsewhere. Then I came across Ship-a-Car Direct. First of all, most of the reviews were positive and when there was an issue, in general it seemed that a satisfactory resolution/solution was reached. Second, their website had a lot of information including videos to really explain the process and what I should do as the customer to ensure a good experience. Up until this point, I didn't "get" how this all worked but was impressed that they took the time to make me feel comfortable. Two specific things really made a difference for me:
1.) They claimed to weed out 75% of the shipping companies right off the bat to make sure I was only accepting an offer from the best options
2.) They gave me the option to refuse a bid. This meant I could research the company, and If I wasn't satisfied they would deliver to my expectations, I could say no.
I didn't see this available from other companies which made me choose Ship-a-Car-Direct.

Now for the actual pickup and delivery: The driver called me the day before to let me he could pick up my vehicles (I had a sedan and an SUV) the following morning and gave me a time. The day of, he was about an hour late, but to his credit he was in constant communication with me to let me know his status and I was living in the San Francisco Bay area so I wasn’t surprised he hit traffic. Once he showed up, he was incredibly thorough, professional, and explained everything he was doing. He was very personable, and I immediately felt he was trustworthy. We discussed when he would deliver to Ohio which he estimated at about 7 days, and he left.

The vehicles were delivered instead 9 days later, but again he was in constant communication with me and it actually worked out better due to some personal issues. The other big plus is that when he had a confirmed time for delivery, I had a prior engagement and wouldn't be available for a couple of hours. I expected some push-back knowing that he probably had a tight schedule, but he said that it wasn't a problem; he would work with my schedule and again maintained great customer service and professionalism. Upon actual delivery, cars were a little dirty, but that's to be expected on an open transport. Hands down this was a great worry-free experience, and I would use this company again if I need to.

Thank you for the amazing feedback, Nestor! You are so right about arrival estimates being projections (traffic can hard to predict with precision). And about cars arriving dusty! Happy to hear it was a worry-free experience for you!
