Process went smoothly after locating driver

My friend needed to get his Explorer shipped across the country. He first tried an eTransport website where he was quoted a full price of $500 but he would have to pay it in full upfront. He asked me about it and I told him that the price didn't seem right and to pay full price upfront was very fishy so I did a little research on the company. They were notorious for either never picking up the vehicle or charging double, even triple the amount when the vehicle was delivered. We canceled that request immediately. After a couple of false starts, we found Montway. I was quoted a price of $99 down with a final payment on delivery of $1,200 which seemed pretty reasonable given the distance. Locating a driver became the difficult part, but after a week they finally found one, however, I would have to pay $100 more. A little worried that I was going to be charged even more later, I went ahead and agreed to the price. After that, it was smooth sailing. The pickup was exactly as they said it would be and the delivery was 4 days later, even with a snowstorm along the way. When the driver got here he called me to tell me that he couldn't get his truck down my street and then back out again so we agreed to meet a few blocks up the road. The driver even went the extra "mile" to help me get the truck to my house so that I didn't have to leave it on the side of the road. When he asked me for the balance, it was exactly the amount that Montway had quoted. I don't relish the idea of shipping a vehicle across the country, but if I ever have to do it again, I will call Montway first. They stand up to what you agree on and their service was great.
