Autotrail Transport, affiliated with A Eastern Connection, should not be in business! Read ALL the negative reviews under both company names!!! I saw their ad in Yellow Pages and when I called them I got a quote for $690, which was supposedly on "special". I decided to place an order to ship my car from TX to UT and gave them my credit card info. They asked for a fax number to send the paperwork AFTER they hurried to charge my credit card for $730 (which apparently included an inspection fee that I was never made aware of). When I got the credit card authorization form and their Terms and Conditions, I did not want to sign and return these to them because their terms are absolutely bogus and unfair. I called them the next day to let them know that I did not agree to the Terms and requested to cancel my order. Guess what... there is a $250 cancellation fee according to their Terms to which I never agreed to begin with. Of course they yelled and hung up on me as you probably read in the other reviews. I called back a few minutes later and asked to talk to the Transportation Manager. Some guy picked up the phone and told me they have a recorded tape that I placed the order and their policy has a $250 cancellation fee. Then he yelled making me feel guilty "how people like you can play games with companies" blah blah... and again hung up. So I don't know if they cancelled my order or not. I faxed them a written cancellation request and also emailed them with the same request. I will try to dispute the full charge amount with my credit card company but their Terms also indicate that if I charge back there would be an additional $75 fee. Ah, I wish I had seen this site before I called them. There are also numerous complaints on the BBB site. PLEASE don't even waste your time calling this company. They are extremely sneaky and trick customers into their lies and unfair business practice. STAY AWAY from this headache and I wish we could somehow get their license suspended. Companies like these should not be allowed to lie to people and cash in millions of dollars from unsuspecting customers.

If you are another unfortunate victim of this company, post your reviews, file a complaint on BBB's site, contact FMCSA, do whatever it takes! Your time and effort will be much appreciated if it can prevent others from falling into the traps of this aweful company. I don't know all the laws but I certainly think that this type of business practice is illegal. Cheating and lyeing should not be tolerated and Autotrail/A Eastern should not be in business!
