My husband was stationed overseas and we had been granted shipment of our vehicle only to find out at the VPC (days before our flight) that there had been some mix up. We scrambled to find a private company to help us with our move (we had already booked plane tickets since we had been promised vehicle shipment). We chose Amerifrieght because it was one of the few companies that had high ratings across review websites and because their website explicitly referred to helping with police and military moves.
I started by asking for a quote Wedenesday night. By Thursday morning I was working with Lecia who set up my initial bid for an order, she was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with our pick up strategy but it was Graham who saw us through to a carrier. Had I been able to give them more lead time I believe they could’ve done a lot more for us so I cannot fault them there, I only wish that I had been called back when promised. Every time I called Lecia and she said she’d call back in a certain time frame she never did, so I’d always have to call her back. The next day she called out sick. I am grateful for the office continuity and teamwork, Graham and Ally were able to pick up where Lecia had set us up almost seamlessly. Graham did not handle our case until Friday but was able to confirm a Monday morning pick up for us by Saturday afternoon. We ended up paying nearly twice the original quote because of the urgency and short lead time.
Our carrier was Green State Logistics and they were fantastic! Always answered calls and texts, were very straightforward, no-nonsense, and best of all, they delivered ahead of schedule! Our vehicle was almost exactly as we had given it to them, plus the dirt of a cross country trip. No damage whatsoever. Very easy and low-stress.
Carrier (Green State Logistics) was excellent, Amerifrieght teamwork was excellent. Again, the only thing I could fault from this experience was they handling of communication (not calling back when promised). Otherwise they did a stellar job, especially given the time constraint.
